ground yourself by touching side of case
find round battery and remove it
leave it out for ten minutes
after that
put battery back and connect power
if it says reset just say yes and you can now gain access to your pc

- look for the round battery
- near the round battery is a small 3 pin switch
- it is covered with a plastic jumper over
- the first two pins
- these are the password pins
- remove the plastic cover and
- put the pc cover back on without the
- plastic jumper cover
- to enter programs without password
- restart your pc
- the password is deleted and you can
- operate as usual
- If you decide to put plastic cover back on
- be sure it is on the first two pins
- if you place it on pin 1 and 2 good
- you can now set a new password
- do not place over pin 2 and 3
- if you read closely with a magnifying glass
- and a good light source
- you will see that pins 1 and 2 are marked on the motherboard as password
- and pins 2 an3 are cmos
- if you put the plastic jumper over pins two and three, you will delete your cmos
- not a good idea

I recommend the Gom Player I play a lot of downloaded video. I was having trouble playing an xvid file that was HDTV. I tried looking for some codecs and I came across this little multimedia player. If you have windows 7 or some pcs are now being made so you can't always do this to break the password. I have only had that happen with windows 7 on a Dell Laptop. Just burn a free copy of Ophrack and follow the instructions and you can get back into your pc. Good Luck
